Business Development, Partnerships

San Francisco, CA · Full-time

About the Role

This role is uniquely high-leverage at our stage. You'll be one of the first non-engineering hires, working directly with the founders to shape Reactor's go-to-market motion from the ground up. You'll identify, engage, and close partnerships that directly expand our platform and market.

Mandarin fluency is a strong plus. The generative video ecosystem is global, with significant activity in China, and the ability to build relationships natively across that market is a real differentiator for this role.

What You'll Do

  • Ecosystem partnerships: Build and maintain relationships across the generative media ecosystem (studios, platforms, technology companies, and emerging players) to establish strategic partnerships that expand Reactor's reach.
  • Customer development: Source, qualify, and close early customers across entertainment, simulation, gaming, and interactive media who need real-time generative video at scale. Translate customer needs into product insights for the engineering team.
  • Market intelligence: Maintain a continuously updated map of the generative video landscape (who's publishing what, who's commercializing, where architecture trends are heading) and use that knowledge to inform partnership and product strategy.
  • Deal structuring: Own the full lifecycle from outreach through term negotiation, working with founders and legal counsel to structure deals that are technically sound and commercially aligned.
  • Represent Reactor: Attend conferences, demo days, and industry events to build Reactor's presence and credibility in both the technical and developer communities.

Who You Are

  • You have 3+ years in business development, partnerships, or strategic sales at a technology company. Ideally in AI/ML, cloud, developer tools, or a related deep-tech domain.
  • You have genuine technical curiosity. You should be able to read a research paper abstract, understand what a team is building, and articulate why it matters for Reactor.
  • Ideally, you are fluent in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) and comfortable navigating business and technical conversations across cultures.
  • You are relentlessly resourceful. At a small company, BD means cold outreach, conference travel, contract redlines, CRM hygiene, and founder-level strategic thinking.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication in English. You'll be drafting partnership proposals, investor-facing materials, and customer-facing collateral.
  • You thrive in ambiguity and speed. We're early-stage and moving fast. You're energized by that, not intimidated.

Nice to Have

  • Existing relationships in the generative video or foundation model ecosystem.
  • Experience in the entertainment, VFX, or gaming industries.
  • Prior startup experience, especially at seed or Series A stage.
  • Familiarity with GPU cloud infrastructure and AI deployment at scale.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication in English. You'll be drafting partnership proposals, investor-facing materials, and customer-facing collateral.
  • You thrive in ambiguity and speed. We're early-stage and moving fast. You're energized by that, not intimidated.

Who You Are

  • Meaningful equity in an early-stage company backed by top investors.
  • Opportunity to shape the go-to-market strategy from day one.
  • Direct access to founders and influence over company direction.
  • Flexible work environment with travel as needed.

If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
